Tracy is a partner at Dakota Law Group with over 25 years of experience helping financial institutions navigate all aspects of lending and general banking. Her practice is focused on loan documentation, loan enforcement and she has built a strong background in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), loan workouts and restructuring, and creditor’s rights in bankruptcy. Tracy regularly advises financial institutions on regulatory matters, and day to day issues that financial institutions face. In 2016 she became a fellow of the American College of Commercial Financial Lawyers and currently serves on the ACCFL’s Board of Regents. Since 2018, she’s been the General Counsel for the North Dakota Bankers Association (NDBA), where she works on legislation and advocates for banks across the state.
Tracy is passionate about sharing her knowledge and regularly leads seminars and training sessions on banking topics like secured lending, loan documentation, loan enforcement, bankruptcy, and the Uniform Commercial Code, including the New Article 12 Controllable Electronic Records. She teaches at the Dakota School of Banking and is a past adjunct professor at the University of North Dakota School of Law, where she covered UCC topics like Articles 2 (Sales), 3 (Negotiable Instruments), 4 (Bank Deposits) and 9 (Secured Transactions).
