John D. Schroeder
John D. Schroeder is an exceptionally versatile attorney with comprehensive legal knowledge and experience. His clients range from financial institutions to closely held businesses and individuals, all of whom benefit from his strategic insights and meticulous approach to legal challenges. 

A large part of his practice is dedicated to banks and other financial institutions, for which he provides general advice, assists with structuring transactions, and facilitates the collection of troubled credits.  He also represents creditors’ rights in bankruptcy.

John routinely counsels business clients, including financial institutions and operating businesses, concerning all manner of contracts, including supply and service agreements, leases, and purchases of real and personal property.

He advises employers on a variety of labor and employment issues. John helps employers ensure that they are in compliance with state and federal labor laws, defends against discrimination and harassment claims, and prepares and reviews handbooks, policies, and other forms. John also reviews and drafts executive employment agreements for both employers and employees, including various executive incentive plans, other compensation arrangements, and severance agreements. 

John enjoys speaking and conducting training on a range of banking and commercial law topics, covering loan workouts, loan enforcement, proper collateralization, and human resource training.
